Breakthrough technology aleviates paneling problemsin hot-fill cans, hot-fill PET and wide-mouth cans
Campbell, CA (September 11, 2006) Packagers working with hot-fill cans, hot-fill PET and wide-mouth containers, have found that traditional LN2 injection units cause too much splash, leading to variations in the amount of pressure in each finished product. An examination of a breakthrough new technology that can alleviate these paneling problems will be detailed by Cheryl Thierfelder, VP Sales and Marketing of Cryotech International and Tom Bissett, Cryotech’s Engineering Manager during The Conference at PACK EXPO on Tuesday, October 31st at 1:20pm. The Conference at PACK EXPO will be held in conjunction with PACK EXPO International, October 29 – November 2, 2006, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Cryotech’s new SoftDose™ option of liquid nitrogen dosing technology controls how the dose of LN2 is introduced into the container and essentially eliminates any product splash. This is effective not only with hot-fill products but also with granular products where traditional dosing causes excess product spilling out of the container. Customers are now able to obtain consistent container to container pressure even for these difficult applications. This technology allowed Cryotech, in partnership with Graham Packaging and USA Martinelli Company, to receive a Silver Award from the 2006 DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation for the successful implementation of the new Martinelli PET Apple Juice container.
Discounted registration for the Conference at PACK EXPO is currently available online at www.packexpo.com. For registrations received on or before October 10, 2006, the cost will be $55 per session. After October 10, 2006 and on-site, the cost will increase to $75 per session. Registration for the exhibits at PACK EXPO International is required in order to register for conference program sessions.
Cryotech will also be exhibiting in booth S-632 at the PACKEXPO tradeshow.
