Patented, specialty liquid nitrogen dosing option with low pressure dose for wide mouth containers with openings of 38mm or wider
Campbell, CA (September 26, 2005) Cryotech International, Inc. (formerly VBS International), a leader in liquid nitrogen delivery systems for container pressurization and/or oxygen displacement, introduces the SoftDose™ upgrade option for its line of liquid nitrogen injection units. The SoftDose™ upgrade option is a breakthrough in LN2 dosing technology for production lines dosing containers with a wide mouth opening of 38mm or wider. Unlike conventional injection units, the unique design of the SoftDose™ has a proprietary nozzle system that produces a gentle LN2 delivery system where the LN2 sits on top of the product, eliminating the violent splashing typically associated with nitrogen dosing of these types of containers.
Customers working with wide-mouth cans, hot-fill cans and hot-fill PET needed a solution to help alleviate their paneling problems. Traditional injection units cause too much splash which leads to variations in the amount of pressure in each finished product. With the SoftDose™ option we control how the dose of LN2 is introduced into the container and essentially eliminate any backsplash. This is effective not only with hot-fill products but also with granular products where traditional dosing was causing excess product spilling out of the container. With the SoftDose™ upgrade option the LN2 sits on top of the product therefore virtually eliminating product waste. Customers are now able to obtain consistent container to container pressures.
